The platform verifies the worker’s identity, certification validity for the permit’s required qualifications, and contractor-company linkage where applicable. The signature sequence is set by the permit template at draft time. Once the permit is declared, the order is fixed — signatures collect in template order. The checklist is the template’s acknowledgement list — items the permit creator confirms before declaration (PPE on hand, anchors rated, isolation tags applied). The pre-inspection is the last walk-through before activation — physical confirmation at the work site that the controls listed are actually in place. Every override carries a reason (free text), the supervisor’s signature, and a timestamp. The override is hash-chained into the audit log alongside the gate it overrode.
